Architecting intuitive Human-Robot Interaction powered by LLMs, grounded in real-world Robotics and high-performance Embedded Systems.
I'm Pranay Tummalapalli, an embedded software and control systems engineer with over 4 years of experience in robotics. I'm deeply passionate about robotic control systems, algorithmic control, and building reliable, real-world robotic systems.
My work spans a wide spectrum — from humanoid upper-body robotic limbs to robot-assisted laparoscopic and orthopaedic surgery platforms, and autonomous vehicle systems. I enjoy developing systems that combine precision, safety, and intelligence.
Outside of engineering, I am a classically trained tabla player. I'm also an avid motorcycle touring enthusiast — long rides on open highways give me a sense of freedom and clarity that fuels my creativity.

Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering, New Delhi
Honoured with the Best Student Award in the ECE department. My college years were shaped by hands-on innovation — from biomimetic robotic arms to assistive technologies. These experiences, along with co-founding a robotics startup, helped me develop a practical, problem-driven approach to engineering.
DSC-BVP
Joined as a student volunteer, then appointed Co-Tech Lead for the Robotics and Intelligent Systems chapter. Mentored first-year students through workshops on robotics fundamentals, and guided team members on projects including spider-crawl gaits for quadruped robots.
G.D. Goenka Public School, Dwarka, New Delhi
Scored 94.25% in CBSE board examinations. Represented school in inter-zonal badminton and secured 3rd place in tabla solo instrumental at the zonal level.
I combine technical innovation with a commitment to meaningful social impact. My projects focus on solving real challenges faced by underrepresented communities — from assistive technologies for the visually impaired to a robotic hand that translates spoken language into sign language in real time.
Co-founded Akshar Bionics in 2021 to bridge learning gaps for children with hearing disabilities. Built a robotic hand that converts speech to sign language in real time. Won 1st place at Smart India Hackathon at IIT Kanpur and received INR 10 Lakhs from the Ministry Innovation Council.

Travelled close to 7,000 km around Bengaluru — exploring forests, hill stations, and winding backroads. Long-distance touring is how I reset, reflect, and reconnect.
Classically trained since age eight under the Farukhabad gharana tradition. Performed solo pieces at multiple venues and secured 3rd place at zonal level in Delhi.
Playing since age nine. Represented school at inter-zonal level and competed in the CBSE North Zone Tournament.
